You maybe don’t like that particular development, but there’s nothing about it that isn’t plausible.
Except for the fact biology isn’t destiny - except in certain sexist, reactionary corners- and Jessica has been consistently depicted as not interested in children. It’s far more believable for Jessica, as written, to have an abortion if she finds herself unexpectedly pregnant.
But I know, I know.
Taboos are tough to break.
And consistent characterization is the last taboo that will ever be broken by the Quesada/Alonso era.
